Increases tear production due to dry eye r/t chronic ocular inflammation; Sjogren syndrome. SE: Eye burning, redness, tearing, discharge, pain, itching, stinging, or visual blurring. Oral & parenteral forms of cycloSPORINE used to prevent rejection after organ transplant & in other conditions where immunosuppression is needed.

SE: Stinging, blurred vision & dilated pupils, increased intraocular pressure. Contraindicated in glaucoma.

SE: á brown pigmentation of iris & eyelid. Refrigerate

SE: rash; H/A; may be nephrotoxic esp. w/lg IV doses; poss. bone marrow suppression, anemia

Class: Antiviral
Herpes infections including zoster/ shingles. SE: Dizziness, drowsiness, kidney problems, mental/mood changes shaky/unsteady movement, trouble speaking. Rare life-threatening disorder more likely to occur with conditions related to a weakened immune system. Taken PO; not for use in immunocompromised pt due to á risk of hemolytic syndrome.
