Hemorrhage
Escape of blood from ruptured vessel. Can be external, internal, or into skin or other tissues.
Laceration
act of tearing; wound produced by the tearing of body tissue, as distinguished from a cut or incision.
Denervation
Interruption of the nerve connection to an organ or part
Paralysis
loss or impairment of motor function in a part due to a lesion of the neural or muscular mechanism, also by impairment of sensory function (sensory paralysis)-palsy
Contracture
abnormal shortening of muscle tissue, rendering the muscle highly resistant to stretching. A contracture can lead to permanent disability. Can be caused by fibrosis by tissues supporting muscle/joint or by disorders of muscle fiber themselves.
