from 12th rib to 7C vertebra.
Longissimus thoracis et lumborum
crest of wing of ilium, and inserts on lumbar and thoracic vertebrae (ribs and 7C vertebra)
Longissimus Cervicis
wing of the ilium, and insert on last few cervical vertebrae
Longissimus Capitis
first 3T vertebrae to mastoid part of temporal bone
Transversospinalis: Splenius
thoracolumbar fascia and first 3T vertebrae, and median raphe of neck. It inserts on the nuchal crest and mastoid part
Semispinalis Capitis (Transversospinalis)
Biventer Cervicis and Complexus
Lies deep to splenius and goes from thoracic vertebrae to the head
Biventer Cervicis
dorsal to complexus. Comes from thoracic vertebrae and inserts on skull (caudally)
Complexus
ventral to biventer. comes from cervical vertebrae and inserts on nuchal crest
Nuchal ligament
from 1T vertebrae to caudal end of spine of axis
Supraspinous Ligament
continues nuchal ligament caudally. comes from 1TV to caudal vertebrae
