Brachial Artery Flashcards
Collateral Ulnar Artery
Is the first branch of the brachial artery, (it is headed in the caudal direction). There are two arteries-hence collateral. They supply the triceps, ulnar nerve, and elbow.
Brachial Artery
is a continuation of the axillary artery, that has four branches: collateral ulnar artery, superficial brachial artery, cranial superficial antebrachial artery, transverse cubital artery.
Superficial Brachial Artery
Is the second branch of the brachial artery, headed cranial. It branches again (the cranial superficial antebrachial artery). These arteries supply the blood to the dorsum of the forepaw.
Transverse Cubital Artery
I believe we could not see this in lab. It supplies the elbow and adjacent muscles.
