What are the disciplinary procedures outlined in the RICS Sanctions Policy

A

Fixed penalty - rules of conduct rule 2 - CPD

Regulatory Compliance order = formal written agreement between RICS and the regulatory Member requiring member to:
- refrain from taking certian actions on a period of time
- pay a fine
- appropriate where the breach is not that serious for a discaplinary hearing
- member admits breacg

Both single members of the regulatory tribunal and Disaplinary and appeal panel can apply :
- caution
- reprimand (risk of public harm)
- undertakings (promise not to do something ) (done when member has accepted work they cannot do)
- fines ( refer to supplement two)
- conditions members/firms ( nditions should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound)
- eplusion of member (gross, peristant failure with the RICS rules of conduct)
- removal of firm registration onlythe dispalinary and appeal panel

what are the RICS 5 rules of conduct examples?

A

Rule 1- members are to act with honesty and integrity And comply with their professional obligations
- When providing the different layout option for the reburmishment of Leeds i made sure to include all the relvant information, surround quality and costs, so the client could make an informed descion

rule 2 - members are to ensure t their professional competence and to ensure services are provided by individuals who have the necessary expertise
- hen undertaking a targeted inspection of damp in great moor coop i not large levels of wet rot in the floor joist . I advised the client that they should enlist a structural engineer to determine if the joists are salvageable

Rule 3 - members are to provide good quality and diligent service
- When undertaking any condition survey, i ensured to take a methodical approach. Recording down the weather taking plenty of photos and notes, and then display this in a Professional report in a logical order with my recommendations.

rule 4 - members are to treat others with respect and promote diversity and inclusion.
- When undertaking surveys od the NHS I ensured to not take any photos with patients in. RLB - head of future professionals and undertook BFR .

- hen undertaking a condition survey at next store i noted that a fire exit was being blocked by storage - i informed the manager

What is RLB’s gift register policy

A

Only offer or accept gifts and hospitality that are customary, proportionate and reasonable in terms of value and frequency. Consider timmings , prior to a tender/during the works.

All Hospitality offered to employees, whether accepted, or refused, which arises from contacts made in the course of duties at RLB, shall be recorded on our hospilaty register, regardless of whether the offers are made or taken in work or personal time.

Any Hospitality over the value of £75 must be approved, in advance, by an RLB Partner
