What is stage one?
Trust vs mistrust ( 0 to 12-18 months ) - to progress through stage infant jp needs to develop right balance of trust and mistrust
What is stage two?
Autonomy vs shame or doubt ( 12 - 18 months to 3 years ) - successful attempts to become more mobile contributes to autonomy
What is stage three?
Initiative vs guilt ( 3-5 ) - children develop increasing sense of own power and want to try new things
What is stage four?
Industry vs inferiority ( 5-12 ) - children have desire to learn how things are made and how they work
What is stage five?
Identity vs identity confusion ( 12-18 ) - developing a sense of identity, failure to resolve crisis produces identity confusion
What is stage six?
Intimacy vs isolation ( 18-25 ) - can’t occur earlier in life due to not being able to establish intimacy before identity
What is stage seven?
Generativity vs stagnation ( 25-65 ) - when people look ahead to latter half of their life and feel the need to participate in life
What is stage eight?
Integrity vs despair ( 65+ ) - integrity arises from individuals ability to look back on their life with satisfaction
