Enzymes Flashcards
Enzyme:
Proteins that help chemical reactions happen.
Substrate:
Becomes a product and leaves the enzyme.
Active Site:
Fits into the Enzyme.
Activation energy:
Energy that activates the enzyme.
Graph relationships between substrate concentration, enzyme concentration, temperature, and pH
Measuring their levels and how they affect the enzyme good and bad and what types and temperatures of chemical reactions they can stand in.
What will happen to enzyme rates when things are changed?
When there’s restrictions on them they are more slower in their reactions and more faster when they are able to bind well with substrates and move around quickly as well.
Inhibition and activation of enzymes
Inhibition: Hinderance on enzyme reactions and makes them move slower.
Activation: Sparks enzymes reaction and makes them move faster.
