What test do you do to test for starch?
Use iodine solution.
If the sample contains starch the solution will go black
What test do you do to test for proteins?
Use the biuret test. Add Biuret A and B
If there is proteins in the sample the solution will turn pinky purple
How do you test for lipids?
Use the susan III test.
If the sample contains lipids the mixture will separate and a red layer will form at the top
What test would use use to test for sugars?
Use the Benedict’s test. Heat it
If the mix contains sugar it will turn green , yellow, or brick red
