Q

what is the definition of greenhouse gases and the effect it has on the environment

A

Greenhouse gases are gases which absorb the IR radiation which prevent heat from travelling back into space. Therefore warming up our planet

  • The sun radiates heat onto earth and some is usually reflected back into space.
  • due to greenhouse gases this can’t happen and the heat is trapped in via greenhouses gases forming a blanket around the earth.
