What is tuber cinerum?
It is located between mammillary bodies and optic chiasm. Devoid of the blood brain barrier, it normally enhances after contrast administration.
A hollow eminence of gray substance situated between the corpora mammillaria behind, and the optic chiasma in front. Laterally it is continuous with the anterior perforated substances and anteriorly with a thin lamina, the lamina terminalis.
What type of cells are there in the tubero-hypophyseal tract?
Its parvocellular and terminate in the median eminence of the pituitary stalk where it release substances in the hypophyseal portal circulation
What substances are released in the posterior pituitary gland?
ADH and oxyocin
