Biceps Squeeze Test
Purpose: To determine the presence of a biceps brachii tendon rupture.
Chair Sign

Elbow Extension Test
Purpose: To determine the presence of a bony fracture or elbow joint effusion.
Medial Epicondylalgia Test
Purpose: To determine the presence medial epicondylagia.
Mill’s Test
Purpose: To determine the presence of a lateral epicondylalgia.
Push-up Sign/Active Apprehension
Purpose: To determine the presence of a lateral collateral ligament insufficiency of the
elbow.
Ulnar Nerve Compression
Purpose: To determine the presence of cubital tunnel syndrome.
Valgus Stress Test
Purpose: To determine the presence of a medial collateral ligament tear of the elbow.
Varus Stress Test
Purpose: To determine the presence of a lateral collateral ligament tear of the elbow.
Allen’s Test
Purpose: To assess the arterial blood flow to the hand.
Carpal Compression Test
Purpose: To assess for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).
Finkelstein Test
Purpose: To assess for the presence of DeQuevain’s disease.
Phalen’s Test
Purpose: To assess for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).
