Q

Increasing the HCO3 does what to the pHa? What about decreasing it?

A

Increasing will increase the pHa - bicarb is trying to get ride of pHa and make the body more alkolitic, thus increasing the pHa and dropping the CO2

Decreasing will make the body more acidotic, dropping the pHa and making the body more aciotic
