Non steroidal anti inflammatory’s
Start with “INDO” or end with “-FEN”
Used to treat inflammation and chronic pain relief
Examples: aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
Cox 2 inhibitors
Have a “COX”
Type of NSAID used to reduce the production of prostaglandins; chemicals that promote inflammation, pain and fever
Examples: celecoxib
Beta blockers
End in “-OLOL”
Used to reduce BP by ⤵️ ❤️rate and open blood vessels to improve blood flow
Examples: metoprolol, betaxolol
Antiarrythmics
End in “-IDE” or “-MIDE”
Used to treat abnormal ❤️ rhythms such as A.fib, V.fib or tachycardia
