DQ-136 Flashcards
Referencing the Caution/Advisory panel what malfunction has occurred? Explain what system failed to operate properly, what corrective action is required, and any limitations if it is unsuccessful.
The #1 HYD pump has failed and the BACKUP pump has not come on.
Move the BACKUP pump switch to ON.
If unsuccesful:
- Airspeed is limited to 150 KIAS VMC (140 KIAS IMC).
- Preform roll on landing above 40 KIAS.
- Bank angle is limited to 30 degrees.
Referencing the Caution/Advisory panel what malfunction has occurred? What pilot action is required and what would result if corrective action is not timely?
Leak in the #1 HYD system/ #1 PRI Servo, the pilot must move the SVO off switch to 1st STG.
Otherwise the BACKUP pump will loose all pressure.
A #2 HYD PUMP failure with no BACKUP PUMP renders which of the following systems inoperative/ineffective:
Collective/Airspeed to Yaw coupling
Flight Path Stabilization
Both Fight Path Stabilization and Collective/Airspeed to Yaw coupling, become inoperative.
What is the CAUTION associated with Backup Hydraulic System? The BACKUP PUMP PWR circuit breaker is located on which circuit breaker panel?
CAUTION:
Whenever the No. 1 AC generator is inoperative (failed or not on line) and the BACKUP PUMP PWR circuit breaker is out for any reason, AC electrical power must be shut off before resetting BACKUP PUMP PWR circuit breaker. Otherwise, it is possible to damagethe current limiter.

Given the following cruise conditions what is the Minimum and Maximum Single Engine IAS and explain how is it calculated?
TEMP 40 degrees
PA 2000’
ACFT GWT 20000 LBS
ETF 1.0/.92
MIN SE IAS: 48 KIAS
MAX SE IAS: 102 KIAS
Chart used p. 7A-55
When is Risk Management effective? What is “Risk Tolerance”?
RM is only effective when the specific information about hazards and risks is passed to the appropriate level of command for a risk decision.
Risk toleranc: the level of risk the responsible commander is willing to accept.
