Indications for Dimenhydrinate Admin
A
Dimenhydrinate is indicated for treatment of nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness, vertigo, and narcotic administration.

Dosage for Dimenhydrinate?
A
Adults: 25-50 mg SIVP; diluted with NS to 10 ML; or 50-100 mg IM/PO, repeat every 4 hours

Contraindications for Dimenhydrinate (3)
A
- Hypersensitivity
- Any condition that may be worsened by anti-cholinergic effects
- Patients who have ingested a large amounts of depressants, including ET0H

Pediatric dosing for Dimenhydrinate?
A
Peds: 1 mg/kg slow IM/IV/IO push. Max 25 mg q 4 hours
