Development L13 - Mineralisation Flashcards

1
Q

why does dentine have more matrix compared to enamel.

A

dentine is formed first as pre-dentine and requires further mineralisation through matrix such as collagen and vesicles, which forms dentine.

whereas enamel is directly produced as enamel and does not require further matrix to form.
