Dermatome: at the inguinal ligament
L1 (L1 is IL -> Inguinal Ligament)
Dermatome: at the nipple
T4 (T4 at the teat pore)
Dermatome: at the umbilicus (important for early appendicitis pain referral)
T10 (T10 at the belly butTEN)
Dermatome: at the xiphoid process
T7
Dermatome: erection and sensation of penile and anal zones
S2, S3, S4 (S2,3,4 keeps the penis off the floor)
Dermatome: high turtleneck shirt; diaphragm and gallbladder pain referred to the right shoulder via the phrenic nerve

Dermatome: includes the kneecaps
L4 (down on L4s [all fours])
Dermatome: low-collar shirt

Dermatome: posterior half of a skull “cap”

Name the reflex: curling of fingers/toes if palms of hands/feet are stroked
palmar and plantar reflexes
Name the reflex: dorsoflexion of the big toe and fanning of other toes; sign of UMN lesion, but normal reflex in 1st year of life; S1, S2
Babinski
Name the reflex: hang on for life reflex - abduct/extend limbs when startled, and then draw together
Moro reflex
Name the reflex: movement of head toward one side if cheek or mouth is stroked (nipple seeking)
rooting reflex
Name the reflex: sucking response when roof of mouth is touched
sucking reflex
Nerve root: Achilles reflex
