Things to remember about interdisciplinary collaboration
Advocate- educating team members about the role of the social worker
Understanding- striving to understand the other disciplines by asking questions about their roles
Common ground- attempting to find things in common that would contribute to better collaboration
Differences- recognizing that differences exist between disciplines and their goals and approaches
Conflict- striving to approach conflict directly and with sensitivity and respect
