What are some tensions regarding human nature ?
A
TRAD - Burke and Oakeshott take a sceptical view on human nature focusing on the gap between aspirations and achievement. This differs from ON( Hobbs) who takes a negative extremist view on human nature arguing taht they are flawed and imperfect
NR- more optimistic view of human nature come from the new right ie Rand & Nozick argue that humans are capable of rationality and are self interested
