  • Group of inherited conditions where adrenal gland is larger than usual
  • Body is missing enzyme ( 21 hydroxylase) which stimulates the larger adrenal glands to release cortisol

  • Absent menstruation
  • Prostatic enlargement/Cancer

  1. Disorder of 21 hydroxylase
  2. Not enough aldosterone/cortisol release
  3. Feedback
  4. Excess testosterone produced
  5. XX over virilisation, more masculine characteristics
