Well obviously there are a number of clear differences. However, I guess that the most significant would be that (schools nowadays have have better equipments that help students understand lectures esier)
In addition to this, another possible distinction might be that schools used to be much smaller. meanwhile, today they often have a lot of big buildings and many students study in.
