Well obviously there are a number of clear differences. However, I guess that the most significant would be that (there are a lot more things you can do in your free time, like going to the cinema, shopping, fishing, sport). Whereas on the contrast ( People used to spend their free time to take care of their families). In addition to this, another possible distinction might be that (People nowadays spend more money for free-time activities than in the past)
