Which radio’s can be tuned from which RPM?
Any VHF/HF tranceiver/frequency
What causes a SEL light on an RMP to illuminate?
If both RMP’s are not tuned on the same channel (not sure)
How many transmission keys (ACP) can be illuminated (green) at once?
One
When do CALL/MECH/ATT lights (amber) illuminate?
When a call is detected from the associated area
How many COMM/NAV RADIOs can you listen to at once?
All at the same time
What does the RESET key do on the ACP?
It extinguishes the CALL/MECH/ATT light if illuminated (You need to do this after you have answered the call to cancel the nuisance light)
How does the INT/RAD key work on the ACP?
How does the PTT switch work on the side stick?
INT/RAD: INT is selectable to open mic
RAD is spring loaded to center
PTT: push to talk on selected channel (identifiable by the green-lit transmission key)
What does the ON VOICE key do?
When selected to ON it eliminates the identification morse code and filters out the ATIS if beacon is usable for that purpose
What should you do if an ACP fails?
Switch to ACP 3 via the selector (you can try to reset the ACP by switching it on and off)
What happens when you press the FWD or AFT button on the CALLS panel?
- 2 lights in PINK
- (AIP CPT call in GREEN if optional)
- High/Low chime in related section
What happens if the C.C. initiate an EMER CALL to the F.D.?
3 buzzers go off of 3 seconds each
ON flashes in white, CALL in amber, ATT flash on ACP
How does the PA button on the ACP work?
Push to talk (check green lit) and speak into any headset mic, handset mic
When does the CVR run/stop automatically?
- 5 min after power up
- then sleep
- on the ground with one engine running
- in flight
- stops 5 min after both engines shut down
How is the CVR erased?
How long is the recording that is saved on the CVR?
Erased by pressing CVR erase for 2 sec with
- aircraft on the ground
- parking brake set to ON
Last 2 hours of recordings are saved
What happens if a radio transmitter sticks ON?
If > 60 sec you get a VHF EMITTING or HF EMITTING (level 2)
