AIRCONDITIONING Flashcards
How are the zone temperatures individually controlled?
The base of the temp is set from the flight deck
The cabin crew can fine tune the temperature within 2,5 degrees C from the cabin
What controls the PACKS and TAV’s (Trim Air Valves)?
AIRCO SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ACSC)
TAV Cockpit: #1
TAV Cabin: #2
What happens to the Airco system during engine start?
If the cross-bleed is closed: the on-side pack flow control valve closes if IGN is selected

What happens when a DUCT OVHT occurs?
HOT AIR VALVE closes
When doe the PACK RAM AIR Inlet Flap close?
When TO power is set + gear struts compressed
On LND + gear struts compressed & V > 70 kts
What 3 conditions could cause the pack flow to be High automatically?
- Single Pack OPS
- When APU supplies bleed AIR
- LO selected and temperature demand is not satisfied (automatically goes to NORM)
The compartment temperature selectors can be set to which range of temps?
18 to 30 degrees (up position is 24 degrees)
What happens when an ACSC has a LANE FAILURE?
2nd LANE takes over full control
If you loose ACSC 1: No trim air all compartments
If you loose ACSC 2: No trim air for the cockpit
What happens if an ACSC has a double LANE failure?
- Related Pack is lost
- HOT AIR pressure + TAV’s are closed
When does a Pack OVHT FAULT light extinguish?
- After ECAM actions have been done the light goes out if the OVHT condition does not exist anymore
What happens when the RAM AIR Pb is selected ON?
It opens the RAM AIR INLET
What limitations apply to the RAM AIR Valve opening?
- Diff press > 1 PSI (OFV remains normal, no emergency AIR flows in
- Diff press
