-Clear liquid day before (avoid red, orange, or purple beverages)
-May take GoLightly med (drink lots of electrolytes to replaces lost ones from bowel prep)

If the RR is below 10 breath per minute or Co2 falls below 20% the nurse needs to do sternal rub to encourage deep and faster respirations

Small perforation (can lead to peritonitis/sepsis)
Splenic injury (report excessive bleeding/pain to doc immediately)
