Anti-platelet, 75mg tablet
Clopidogrel - Pharmacology
Clopidogrel is a specific and potent platelet aggregation inhibitor. It selectively inhibits the binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to its platelet receptor, thereby inhibit platelet aggregation
Clopidogrel - Metabolism
Hepatic metabolism with near equal amounts excreted in the urine and faeces
Clopidogrel - Indications
Patients with STEMI who have been selected for pPCI or who have received fibrinolytic therapy
Clopidogrel - Contraindications
- KSAR or hypersensitivity to Clopidogrel
- Patients contraindicated for prehospital fibrinolysis
- Current Clopidogrel or Ticagrelor therapy
- Patients

- Severe renal impairment

Haemorrhage

Onset - 30 mins
Duration - 7-10 days
Half-life - 8hrs

STEMI for tPA - 300mg PO
