CLN - Co-ordination with Brussels, Amsterdam and Maastricht Flashcards
Describe Brussels ACC AOR in relation to CLN.
Brussels ACC is responsible for L179 and L608 between FL55-FL245 east of the FIR boundary (east of RAPIX and SASKI) but not within the delegated airspace to the north.
In the BULAM area, the use of which FL is permanently delegated to Brussels ACC from Maastricht Koksy?
FL250. Maastricht Koksy shall not assign this level in the BULAM area without co-ordination with Brussels.
Transfer of radar control from Brussels to S14 is subject to what three conditions?
- Serviceability of the respective radars
- Serviceability of the direct telephone lines between the radar controllers concerned
- The transferring controller is to ensure a minimum radar separation of 8nm, constant or increasing, unless vertical separation is established
How long before suspension of transfer of radar control or reduced longitudinal separation procedures must Brussels pre-warn CLN (via the Ops Supervisor and GS)?
At least 5 minutes, except in unexpected circumstances such as loss of radar/telephone service.
What level are Brussels TMA departures (overflying LTMA) with RFL250+ transferred in the climb to, and where are they released for further climb?
FL250 and RFC at the KEGIT line.
If L610 is not available east of RAPIX, due to EBR17/TRA14 activity, where will Brussels TMA departures with RFL250+ be routed?
Traffic will be tactically routed by Brussels towards L179 until clear of the danger area or at FL250.
Who must Brussels ACC co-ordinate aircraft that are unable to make FL220 by SASKI with?
TC JACKO
Outbounds from the Brussels TMA to which airfields/groups will be capped at FL210- to remain in TC airspace?
LC, KB, MC, ABBOT group, TC
What is the S14P procedure for handling traffic originally planned at FL210- that subsequently requests FL220+?
- Brussels/Ams contacts S14P to make an approval request and S14P decides whether to accept or reject
- If accepted, Brussels/Ams are to advise S14P if the ACT as already been sent to TC JACKO
- If ACT has already been sent, S14P will complete a Field 8 amendment and force offer flight to themselves
- S14P shall then verbally cancel the flight with TC JACKO
What is the S14P procedure for handling traffic originally planned at FL220+ that subsequently requests FL210-?
- Brussels/Ams are to co-ordinate the traffic with TC JACKO
- TC JACKO input a Field 8 amendment to ensure that the flight is correctly processed within NAS
- TC JACKO verbally cancel the flight with S14 who shall reject the TDL
What are the conditions for transfer of radar control without verbal exchange of radar identity with Maastricht/Ams?
- Provided a minimum of 10nm longitudinal separation, constant or increasing, exists between aircraft
- Aircraft must be equipped with functioning Mode C SSR transponders displaying discrete codes
- Both PSR/SSR and direct radar-radar telephone lines must be serviceable
Where can Maastricht Delta position an aircraft routeing M40 without co-ordination with CLN?
Direct LUSOR or on a heading towards LUSOR
Traffic routeing Q63 (GALSO-ERING-KOPUL) must not be vectored south of which point without co-ordination with CLN westbound?
GALSO
S13/14 shall not vector traffic known to Maastricht Delta further north than which point/area without co-ordination?
NOGRO; IBNOS Area A
Where must traffic UNKNOWN to Maastricht Delta not be vectored/routed north of without co-ordination?
2.5nm from the northern edge of IBNOS Area A
