  • I am just going to check that with your wrist band
  • Today i have been asked to take blood from you
  • this will involve me temporarily inserting a small needle into your vein in order for me to take blood from you - would that be ok?
  • it may be a little bit painful but I will try my very best to make you feel as comfortable as possible
