A
- hello my name is Anjali Singh and I am a third year medical student
- please can I confirm your name, age and DOB?
- Nice to meet you
- I am just going to check that with your wrist band
- Today i have been asked to take blood from you
- this will involve me temporarily inserting a small needle into your vein in order for me to take blood from you - would that be ok?
- it may be a little bit painful but I will try my very best to make you feel as comfortable as possible
- Have you had this procedure done before?

- Please can you roll up your sleeve for me and straighten out your arm for me?
- I am now going to put this band around your arm which will help me look for vein in your arm
