There isn’t imitation in this. If you see IMITATION, you’re looking at a PARAPHRASE MASS. Textbook calls it Imitation mass, but you can call it a _____ mass.

Write one melody out, then above that melody a text, inside is a riddle, and you would know how to solve the polyphonic piece.

*A way of taking two melodies, realizing them in individual ways, and creating a four-part polyphonic texture. You won’t hear it at all. Will sound like it was just composed.
