CLINICAL PRESENTATION
-asymptomatic
-fatigue,weight loss,anorexia,
-generalized lymphadenopathy,hepatosplenomegaly
-hypogammaglobulinemia—> inc susceptibility to inf
-haemolytoc aneamia/ thrombocytopenia due to auto AB by non-neoplastic B cells
prognosis
Richter syndrome—-> diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
-rapid enlarging mass in LN/spleen
- less than 1 yr survival
neoplastic cells of CLL
-small,round nuclei
-highly condensed chromatin
-soccer ball chromatin pattern
- inconspicious nucleoli
-scant cytoplasm
-unique markers: CD5,CD23,CD19
-smudge cell/parachute cell
