- Down’s Syndrome
- commonly associated with an atrioventricular canal
- commonly present with an atrial septal defect (ASD) or ventricular septal defect (VSD)

Signs of decreased cardiac output in infant
A
- poor feeding
- more challenging for the infant to breathe while feeding
- sweaty and pale during feedings
- oliguria
- hypotension
- Irritability, restlessness, or lethargy
- TACHYCARDIA, NOT BRADY

Sinus arrhythmia
A
- variation of normal sinus rhythm
- common in preschool age
- pulses elevated when breathing in
- pulses decrease when breathing out
