A

Bernardo de Galvez was the governor of Spanish Louisiana who supported the Patriots. Once Europe began to help America in the Revolution, Galvez gave the Patriots medicine, clothes, weapons, etc. He also captured British forts along the Mississippi River, and drove the British out of Florida.

A

Molly Pitcher, whose real name was Mary Ludwig hays, carried water that flushed out cannons after they were fired in the Battle of Monmouth. She also took her husband’s place in battle after he was wounded, and became the first woman officer in the American Army.
