Q

Why was the Olive Branch Petition important?

A

It was important because when the king received the petition, he also received word about Bunker Hill. the king did not understand what the colonies were thinking (Pro or anti England), so he declared “ALL colonies are in rebellion.” This gives the colonies a sense of union, since they didn’t ALL rebel, but they were grouped together as one.
