Define intelligence according to David Wechsler
He defined intelligence as the ability to act purposefully to think rationally and deal effectively with the environment
What does intelligence involve
Memory ability to reason and solve problems and capacity to learn and adapt to environment. It also refers to ability to perform complex tasks and speed at which tasks can be performed.
How is intelligence measured
Done so using psychological tests which provide standardized measures of a person’s behaviour meaning is compared to predetermined norms showing how well they score compared to others who represents the general population.
What is an intelligence test made up of
Only a sample of all possible tasks that may measure intelligence and for children they are based on age appropriate tasks.

Mental age and intelligent quotient based on a child’s MA and CA.
