Eugene V Debs, Pullman strike
led a group of Railroad workers across the country on strike due to a decrease in wages when the government attached mail cars to the back of the pullman cars which made it illegal to interfere with the delivery of mail forcing the workers to go back to work or be arrested. Debs would later be arrested.

Democratic candidate for President who ran against McKinley who believed in free silver so it would create inflation and help farmers which was stated in his Cross of Gold Speech

political party that emerged from the Grange and the Farmers’ Alliance to address government intervention to regulate the railroads, telegraphs, direction election of senators, and a graduated income tax.

people that supported gold backing the dollar bill and being the basis of our economic system. McKinley and his supporters were goldbugs. Bryan and his supporters were silverites
Sherman Silver purchase act
U.S. treasury purchased silver to help create inflation when gold was exceedingly low.
