flex leg to 90 degrees & rotate internally - if pain is felt & a “click” or “thud” is heard, it is positive for a torn lateral meniscus
McMurray sign
bruising around umbilicus - indicates internal hemorrhage, often pancreatitis
cullen sign
“sunken” while pt is lying flat
Scaphoid
large rounded abdomen while pt is lying flat
protuberant
able to hear bowel sounds w/o stethoscope
