Concessive Clauses
These clauses are introduced by cum, quamvis, etsi, licet, quamquam, and ut and can be translated as although, though, even if, and notwithstanding. The verb in such clauses is usually in the subjunctive mood (the exception being clauses introduced by quamquam, which more commonly stand in the indicative).
