Inept set
composed of those brands consumer are aware of and view negatively
Inert set
composed of those brand consumers are aware of and view in a neutral manner
Internal search
Consumer identifies alternative from their memory.
Ongoing search
done both to acquire information possible later use and because the process itself is pleasurable
Memory
of past searches, personal experience and low-involvement learning
Personal Sources:
such as friends family and others
Independent sources:
such as magazine, consumer groups and government agencies
Marketing sources:
such as sales personnel websites and advertising
Experiential sources
such as inspection or product trial
