Growth and development need calcium, iron and fiber (veggies, fruits, whole grains and milk)

Describe eating disorder
Unhealthy or abnormal relationship with food
Can be caused by traumatic event (emotional or psychological issues)
Anorexia nervosa
- restriction in eating leading to low body weight
- intense fear of gaining weight
- body image problems or lack if recognition in low body weight
Bulimia nervosa
- binge eating, episode of over consuming food in 2 hrs or other period of time
- vomiting, exercising a lot, or abusing laxatives
- once a week for more than three months
Binge eating disorder
Lack of control when eating or eating a lot in a short amount of time
Eating when not hungry or until uncomfortably full regularly (more than once a week for three months)
How many calories are in a gram of alcohol?
7 kcals per gram
Where is alcohol absorbed and metabolized
- absorbs in stomach
- small amount metabolized in brain
- metabolized in liver and rest is circulated into body
Guidelines for men and women of alcohol intake
Limit drinks to for moderate alcohol consumption or just dont drink
- men is 2 per day
- women is 1 per day average
