What is credentialing?
Provides certified documents showing that an individual is entitled to recognition and has a right to perform certain functions or actions (basically have a certification to do dry needling)
What is a credentialing organization?
Places that oversee or approve these certifications by having the person do exams, and give out license or registration
Why is credentialing important?
So you can have that recognition that you are properly trained to perform the thing that you got the credit for (like dry needling and cupping)
Do universities need to be accredited to go to and get a certification?
YES THEY DO
Once you are certified in something do you need to continue your education and get units for it?
YES YOU DO
What is certification?
Where individuals or institutions that get evaluated and recognize as meeting predetermined standards
If an institution is accredited do they need to be overseen by another institution? and name an example if the answer is true.
YES THEY DO TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE FOLLOWING THE CURRICULUM, AND FOLLOWING THE RULES.

How does licensure work?
Grants permission by an official or legal authority (State, or government), to someone or an organization to engage in legal practice rather than illegally
What is licensure?
Basically where it has requirements and regulations that you need to get a license to run your business or perform your duties as a professional. And the government grants you permission to do so.
What is registration?
Recording of professional qualification info relevant to government rules that are narrower than licensure professionals
What does an athletic trainer do? Do they have to get licensed or not? Give an example
They prevent, treat, and rehab injuries to physically active people and athletes.
THEY REQUIRE TO BE CERTIFIED AND A LICENSE IN SOME STATES
What does a clinical biomechanic do? Give an example
Focuses on the mechanics of injury and how to prevent them, evaluate them, and treat musculoskeletal problems
What does a sport biomechanic do? Give an example
Examines human movement when someone is exercising and training for the purpose of improving sport and athletic performance
Example: being a coach
What does an ergonomic do? Give an example
Study the interaction between humans and objects, and environments in which the function (how they can improve the objects to better the persons lifestyle)
What does a clinical exercise physiologist do? Give an example
Work with healthy and diseased individuals in many settings. they perform health and fitness assessments, and develop exercise prescription
Example: performing a test on someone that cannot breath well
What does a dietician sport dietician do?
Assess the nutritional needs of someone, gives them a program, help people lose weight, diabetes control, high blood pressure, and cholesterol reduction
