Mild, moderate, severe, panic anxiety
Mild: everyday
Moderate: slight decrease congnitive decision making
Severe: somatic symptoms increase, confused and automatic behavior
Panic: running shouting screaming pacing SNS Sx begin
Separation anxiety disorder
Mostly in children however developmentally inappropriate
Agoraphobia
Anxiety/fear about not being able to escape so they stay home
Social anxiety disorder
Associated with being judged by others.
OCD obsessive compulsive disorder
Obsessions are thoughts, compulsions are the acts
Disruptive, persistent, and reoccur without ability to stop
Use psychotherapy and behavior therapy, flooding, systematic desensitization, behavior replacement
