keep back straight and in an upright position

diamond carry
one provider at head, one at each side, and one at the feet. (tallest provider at head)
handed carry
2 providers on each side use both hands to pick up and switch to one to carry
emergency moves
pull pt clothing in the shoulder area. place on blanket to be pulled. place arms under pt shoulders grabbing your opposite wrist drag the pt backwards
urgent moves
used only when pt has altered mental status, inadequate ventilation or is in shock (hypoperfusion)
