STAT versus Non-STAT Medicines?

A

STAT: Dispensing frequency permitted for that medicine. For example: dispensed all-at-once or monthly supply i.e. A three-month supply or a six-month supply in the case of oral contraceptives.
Non-STAT: medicines are dispensed in monthly lots (i.e., monthly with 2 repeats). However, these may be dispensed in a 90-days lot in certain circumstances.
