A
  • Can be used to investigate human behaviour + rare experiences
  • Produces in depth data due to complex factors that can be studied

What are the weaknesses of case studies?

A
  • Difficult to generalise, due to unique characteristics
  • Cant make before + after comparisons
  • Need to use recollection of past events, evidence may be unreliable since ppls memories are inaccurate
  • May lack objectivity as they get to know case
  • Ethical issues, confidentiality not protected due to individual cases
