Enabling Cause
That which primarily produces something that is not the continuum of its own substance as its specific result.
Equivalent: Co-operative cause
Simultaneously Arising Causes
Causes that are simultaneous, different in substance and, by being in the same collection, do not obstruct the arising of each other.
Causes of Similar Outcome
That which produces something that is of its own type as its specific result.
Whatever is a cause of similar outcome is necessarily a substantial cause, but whatever is a substantial cause is not necessarily a cause of similar outcome.
E.g. clay and vase, fire and smoke
Congruent Causes
Causes that, by being congruent, do not obstruct the arising of each other.
Do not produce matter.

Omnipresent Causes
That which involves afflictions, is present in all three realms, and obstructs the attainment of liberation.
Only three nonvirtuous afflictions of mind, not body and speech.
Whatever is an omnipresent cause is necessarily an enabling cause, but whatever is an enabling cause is not necessarily an omnipresent cause.
Completely Ripening Causes
That which produces something completely ripened as its specific result and consists of negative actions and contaminated positive actions.
Completely ripening causes necessarily involve craving
Completely Ripening Results
A nonobscuring and neutral phenomenon that has arisen from its specific causes, which are contaminated positive actions or negative actions.
Come about because of kleshas, or afflictions, the complete ripening of past negative karma
Dominated a Results
That which is produced by its specific causes by their own power.
Whatever is a completely ripened result is necessarily a dominated result, but whatever is a dominated result is not necessarily a completely ripened result.
Results that Accord with the Cause
A phenomenon that itself is either the same as its specific cause or accords with it in its aspect of appearance.
Whatever is a result that accords with the cause is necessarily a dominated result, but whatever is a dominated result is not necessarily a result that accords with the cause.
Results Caused by Persons
A phenomenon they had arisen due to the force of its specific causes.
Broad category that includes all results, does not exclusively refer to actions caused by persons.
Results of Separation
The exhaustion or relinquishment of the specific factors to be relinquished through the force of the remedy - i.e. supreme knowledge.
Equivalent: reality of cessation, cessation through detailed analysis, result of separation
Results of Separation are imputed results. They are the complete relinquishment or exhaustion of kleshas.
Whatever is a cessation always result is necessarily not a result, because whatever is a result of separation is necessarily a permanent phenomenon.
