What are the two different type of carbohydrates and what are they used for?

A

There are simple carbohydrates (sugars) and the are found in foods such as sugar and fruit, they provide quick sources of energy and there is complex carbohydrates (starch) and thee are found in foods such as pasta and bread, they have to be broken down down by the body so the energy is released more slowly
