three times: teenager, middle age, elderly - middle age most likely
how does gender factor in to suicide?
women more likely to TRY - but men are more successful

highest in spring and fall - NOT christmas

interview about the raid (ideation, intent, plans) - take a good history (greatest predictor past violence) - ask about protective things tha keep them alive, use least restrictive approach

hospitalization, electroconvulsive therapy, lithium, clozapine, ketamine IV (experimental)
