- Intermediolateral Neurons of Spinal cord (T1 – L3)
- Preganglionic: Superior Cervical Ganglion – Internal Carotid Plexus – Short Ciliary Nerves
- Postganglionic: Called Nasocilliary Nerve (V1) (Hijacking!)

Lachrymal, Nasal, Hard, Soft Palate Glands
Pterygopalatine Fossa
Pterygopalatine ganglion:
Name the conjoined Preganglionic nerve containing both its Para+Sym Fibers.
Nerve of the Pterygoid Canal aka Vidian nerve = Greater petrosal + Deep Petrosal
Pterygopalatine ganglion:
- Parasympathetic Neuron origin
- Preganglionic Cranial nerve
- Postganglionic Fibers name
Parasympathetic:
Superior Salivatory Nucleus
Preganglionic: CN VII(Facial) Greater Petrosal Nerve
Postganglionic: Called Zygomatic+Lacrymal, Nasopalatine and Superior Alveolar nerves (V2 and V1) (Hijacking!)
Pterygopalatine ganglion:
- Sympathetic Neuron origin
- Preganglionic nerve
- Postganglionic Fibers name
Sympathetic: Intermediolateral -Neurons of Spinal cord (T1 – L3)
- Preganglionic: Internal Carotid Plexus – Deep Petrosal Nerve
- Postganglionic: Called Zygomatic+Lacrymal, Nasopalatine and Superior Alveolar nerves (V2 and V1) (Hijacking!)

Above Submandibular Gland
Submandibular ganglion:
- Parasympathetic Neuron origin
- Preganglionic Cranial nerve
- Postganglionic Fibers name
Parasympathetic: Superior Salivatory Nucleus
Preganglionic: CN VII(Facial) Chorda Tympani
Postganglionic: Called VII) Chorda Tympani (even though it runs on Lingual V3)
Submandibular ganglion:
- Sympathetic Neuron origin
- Preganglionic nerve
- Postganglionic Fibers name
Sympathetic: Intermediolateral Neurons of Spinal cord (T1 – L3)
Preganglionic: External Carotid Plexus
Postganglionic: Chorda Tympani (even though it runs on Lingual V3)

Parasympathetic: Inferior Salivatory Nucleus
Preganglionic: IX) Tympanic Nerve - Lesser Petrosal Nerve
Postsynaptic: Called Auriculotemporal Nerve (Hijacking!)
Otic ganglion:
- Sympathetic Neuron origin
- Preganglionic nerve
- Postganglionic Fibers name
Sympathetic: Intermediolateral Neurons of Spinal cord (T1 – L3)
Preganglionic: Superior Cervical Ganglion – Caroticotympanic - Tympanic Plexus
Postganglionic: Middle Meningeal Artery Nerve Fibers
