- Oral
- Use Against: Same as Amoxicillin + Anaerobes + Non MRSA staph
- Emprical Use: Same as Amoxicillin + dog/cat bites

- Beta lactam cephalosporin
- IV or Intramuscular
- Use Against: Gram (-) rods, streptococci
- does NOT cover MRSA, pseudomonas
- Empirical Use: CNS infection
- can use with vancomycin if need coverage for resistant G+ bacteria

- Use against: Mycoplasma, Chalmydia, Pertussis, many respiratory bacteria
- Empirical use: useful if have **penicillin allergy **
