Coronal/Frontal plane
Front and back division
Transverse/cross sectional

A structure formed from various tissues that performs a specific function in an organism
Anatomical Direction
Identifies the location of structures in relation to other structures
Proximal
Indication that the structure is closer to the body
Distal
indicates that the structure is farther away from the body
Medial
determine which structure is closer to the medial line
Lateral
Divides the body into right and left sides
Anatomical Regions
Compartmentalized into several regions
